Hello fellow Steemians!

I am starting the week #21 of my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge and we are back to the continent of Asia.

If you like to participate, place your personal image from your travels in Asia in the comment section below with a short 30 to 50 word description. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.

Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total. So far I have given out approximately $3800 in upvotes and 420 SBD in rewards.

After today´s Asian photo contest, the 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge will be followed as per below rotation and then starting again with Asia on next Sunday.

Everyone knows where this is. The Taj Mahal is one of the most famous buildings in the world. I think I would put this in my top 5 of places I've seen in the world, one of those places that truly lives up to expectations and surpasses them. I went on an overcast/rainy day so I tried a black and white edit to enhance the mood.

Beautiful. It’s high on my travel list! :) which other places are in your top 5?

If you get to spend a bit of time in the high altitude Himalayas you soon start to appreciate the old Nepalese pilots adage that “we don't fly when there are clouds, because the clouds have rocks in them”. Peeking though the clouds here is the incredible spire of Ama Dablam at 6,812 metres (22,349 ft).

This is a beautiful photo! Keep up the good work!

Yangshuo - A place to rest your soul

With all the trouble and hectic pace in Peking, Xian and the cruise ship on the Yangtze River, the Guilin area, especially Yangshuo is a place to rest your soul after some adventurous days before. Driving around with a bicycle, go on a relaxing rafting trip on the river, wandering through the rice fields or just drink some tea and enjoy life. The photo was taken during our bike ride along the shores.

Oh wow this is stunning, it looks like a mirrored floor. Did you find travelling china expensive or not?
Which way is up:

Great question if you mirror the image ;)
I really depends on the areas you go. Beijing, Shanghai and Hongkong can be quite expensive. But traveling by train is not as expensive and the food is also really cheap.

Love it as always. Thank you so much for your submission. Tomas

This is a photo that I took in Xinjiang, China. That's a Euphrates Poplar Forest which is about 6000 years old. Euphrates Poplar can live up to 3000 years old and even though the trees are dead, they can still stand for another 3000 years. I think they are tough and strong there for I took that pic.

Great photo! Glad to see you here :) look forward to more of your pictures from China!

Welcome to the challnge. You have made quite an entrynce with this epic picture. Kindly stay tuned for the winner announcement coming in a separate post later on today. Have a great day. Tomas

I chose this photo for today's Asian Sunday. I've just uploaded the photo to my feed and I think it's also a good way to get started with this challenge.
I took this photo in September 2013 in Singapore.
That day, we returned to the Marina Bay to meet friends and enjoyed this beautiful sunset togehther with a cold beer.
Singapore is always a great place to spend a nice time, especially in the evening.

Thanks Tomas!

A sunrise photo of the Bayon temple, one of the many ruins within Angkor. This place is great to explore, but best come early in the morning while most of the tourists are still visiting Angkor Wat. In the morning you can really enjoy the area.

One of my fav temple in Angkor 😉

Faublous image! Thank you for your submission. Tomas

Today I take you to the submit of Kawah Igen and more precisely this a view of the crater. The contrast between this colourful lake and the sulfur rocks is wonderful.

Shot from the very top of the volcano, minutes after the sunrise... Enjoy!!!

Location: Banyuwangi, Indonesia.

I still remember the strong smell of the sulfur there 🙈😄

It was hard to breathe and once in the crater if somehow the wind would blow in your direction, it is just impossible to take a breath and your eye are crying and burning in the same time!!! But what a wonderful place to visit :)

Thank you so much for your participation. Stunning image. Tomas

Thank you Tomas :)

This beautiful image of sunset is taken at Versova beach in Mumbai, India yesterday. I went there to meet my friend because he loves beaches. Normally weather of city is hazy but tomorrow, It was golden to click image. Children were playing there under orange cloudy sky.

What a great capture. Beautiful sunset. Thank you for sharing with all of us. Tomas

I captured this tea plantation view at Cameron Highlands of Malaysia, when the sun came out of dark clouds after a shower. The tea produced here is distinguished for its golden color and smooth flavor. Here you can wander around, savor a cup in a tea house or visit the factories to learn about the tea making process.

I love it! So much green!

Thanks Tomas! =)

Inle Lake Fishermen

Inle Lake was my favourite place in Myanmar. The fishermen there have mastered a very different technique. They row their boat with one leg, stand on the other one and fish with a giant basket.

What a great entry. Thank you so much for your participation. Have a great day. Tomas

Thank you! Have a great day as well!
