Hello fellow Steemians!
I am starting the week #43 of my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge and we are back to the continent of Asia.
If you like to participate, place your personal image from your travels in Asia in the comment section below with a short 30 to 50 word description. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.
Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total. So far I have given out thousands of dollars in upvotes and hundreds of SBD in rewards.
After today´s Asian photo contest, the 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge will be followed as per below rotation and then starting again with Asia on next Sunday.
• Monday: Australia and New Zealand
• Tuseday: Antarctica + the world’s oceans

See the winner of the last week´s Asian Sunday @jpphotography with the following entry:
Railay Beach Viewpoint, Thailand. Located near Krabi, Railay Beach is a popular spot for rock climbing. I do some rock climbing myself, but in Railay I went on a different kind of climbing trip when I scrambled up a small trail to reach this beautiful viewpoint - covered in mud.

I generally don't post photos from hotel grounds but I'm willing to make an exception for this one. This is the Grand Luang Prabang hotel in Laos. The hotel is situated right along the Mekong River offering spectacular views (don't worry, I'll eventually post some). This was the view from my room. You can see the French colonial inspired design of the building, along with the incredible green from the humid, rainy weather. I completely loved my trip to Laos and recommend the country to everyone!
This is a picture of the Qutang Gorge, one of the narrowest gorges of the Yangtze River, taken from Baidicheng, literally "The White Emperor City" which was made famous by "The Romance of Three Kingdoms" for being the place where Liu Bei, the Emperor of Shu Kingdom, escaped to after failing his attempt in revenging for the death of his sworn brothers, and eventually died from sadness of losing his brothers
Wow, that a good one. Looks incredible, well done!
Thanks! Glad you like it!
Fantastic as always!
Thanks Tomas!

Street in Malacca, Malaysia
In Malacca, modern day comforts blend in with the unique heritage of the city: In its history, Malacca has been part of the Portuguese, the Dutch, the British and the Japanese Empire before becoming part of Malaysia.
1/100s; 50mm; f/8.0; ISO 100
I have also posted this photo on my blog.
Great image. A little cut off at the bottom. (At least for my taste)
True, this damn bike was too fast :D
Nice capture. I just posted about Malacca a few days ago, and seems I took photos of the same street! ;)
Wow, really? I will check your post out now!
i can see the heritage of those mix cultures in this street photography you took :)
It really illustrates it, doesn't it?
yes it is
What a great mix of cultures.
This is my entry for today contest :)
I just went here last week, and it's so beautiful. If you ever want to visit a rainbow mountain in Asia, you should check this one.
This rainbow mountains are part of the Zhangye Danxia Landform Geological Park in China. Layers of different colored sandstone and minerals were pressed together over 24 million years and then buckled up by tectonic plates. It's similar like Vinicunca mountain, in Peru, both has different layers of sandstone colors.
My favorite! I'd say this might be a winner^^
Thanks @davedavis91 🙏, your picture is great also
What a beautiful shot! I've always wanted to visit this park in China but haven't got a chance yet, but I visited the rainbow mountain in Peru. They do look alike! :)
Thanks @itchyfeetdonica :) i'm the opposite of you, hehe i've always wanted to go to the rainbow mountain in Peru, but it's so far away from where i live.. but luckily there's one in China which is closer and i think both are amazing beautiful
Wow, what a superb image!
Thanks Tomas :)

Masjid Raya Baiturrahman, is a mosque located in downtown Banda Aceh, Aceh.
The Baiturrahman Grand Mosque is a religious symbol, and a silent witness to the struggle and nationalism of the Acehnese people,
And also the Aceh Tsunami Tragedy in 2004 ago, which devastated the land of this Veranda of Mecca.
The mosque is located right in the center of Banda Aceh City and is the pride of the Acehnese People.

What a great image. Thank you so much for your participation.
Pretty storming sunset at central Tel-Aviv embankment with a view to Old Jaffa. Very low shooting point and a bit longer exposure to freeze moving waves. Very nice cloud formation adding nice compositional symmetry to the wave curve.
Combined with warm colors all those making pretty pleasant, but still a lot dramatic view
Enjoy it!

Tremendous!
I shot this photo on a hot air balloon ride above Cappadocia, a semi-arid region in the Asian part of Turkey. It was an otherworldly experience that I would never forget. Our balloon was gently drifting over the fantastic landscapes when the orange rays of sunrise kissed the fairy chimneys, orchards, vineyards, pigeon houses and cone-shaped rock formations.

This is the beach charm of "Gampong Jawa" "Banda aceh", Indonesia. some time ago I visited this place to enjoy the natural beauty of the sunset. In addition to the natural beauty, this beach there are also some athletes who do windsurfing exercises.
