Hello fellow Steemians!
Welcome to my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Australian Monday - where the winner of the weekly round will be able to participate for the total of 200 SBD!
Today, you can participate by submitting your personal pictures from your travels to the continent of Australia. I am also adding New Zealand to the same challenge as there were some concerns from other Steemians as to which continent NZ belongs to.

This photo was taken a few years ago during a hike up to Roys Peak near Wanaka in New Zealand. The weather was very dynamic and provided some interesting play of light and shadow. I oped for a black and white here to emphasise those nice contrasts.

Your entries need to be submitted by 8 AM Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.
Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total.

Trekking the Himalayas is such a wonderful experience, the views are stunning even breathtaking! It is a physical walk but for the locals, carrying huge bags of rice wearing pyjamas pants while walking in the snow is a routine! I always was amazed by them overtaking me on the way!

The Old Mill was the water-mill of Hobbiton, owned and run by the Sandyman Family. The Old Mill was a corn mill powered by a large water wheel. It lay directly adjacent to the bridge across the Water and next to the Old Grange as well.
Truly magical! Great click.
What are the odds of two Hobbiton pictures lol! I was going to put the photo of the mill as well but end up choosing one looking over the whole of Shire!
Down from Franz Josef Glacier / NZ
Seeing this Glacier vaporizing through the decades is scray. Down at the tourist center you see how the glacier looked in the past and how close it was to the shore of the Southern island of New Zealand. We didn't take the helicopter up the glacier. Instead we walked up to the tip of the glacier for abour 1,5-2 hours and then started the "real" glacier walk. Incredible expericence even though I would highly recommend to do a glacier walk in a more remote area with less tourists around!

Yep, it sure is pretty scary how we are damaging Earth.... I wonder what it is going to be like in 50 years or so...
In a road trip, after visiting Newcastle in New South Wales, we drove on to the huge forest inland, and stayed one night there. The next morning, after a few hours driving on a rough road twisted downhill, we turned to a wider road, and saw this wallaby standing right in front. :)

Hobbiton of the Shire, a beautiful piece of paradise in the Middle Earth, was set in a private farm near Matamata, New Zealand, 2 hours south of Auckland. Even in a gloomy day like this, the colourful hobbit holes and the rolling hills is extremely picturesque.

Stradbroke Island Queensland Australia.
This cove just off the main surf beach on Stradbroke Island is a awesome spot for a swim. Dolphins and sea turtles can be seen in the water. An amazing place to visit.
That looks like a piece of paradise.
This is a Australian place to really known. Coco Keeling is a group of small islands far from the main land in Indian Ocean. That's a paradisiac place with a few hundreds of people living there, and a hudge Nature. I was lucky to arrive there by boat and stay a couple of weeks. Unforgetable!
Amazing shot! Must be a cool stay there. How long does it take to reach Coco Keeling by boat from the mainland?
I did it from Christmas Island with my sailing boat. 5 days...!

Watsons Bay, Sydney
The suburb of Watsons Bay is one of the better suburbs in Sydney. It´s a great place for a day trip with awesome views over the ocean as well as the Skyline of Sydney. The fastest way to reach this suburb is via the Ferry from Sydney Port.
I wouldn't mind living in a suburb like this one:)

You see a lot of Uluru photos at sunset, but not so many once the sun has gone down. Unfortunately, I couldn't stay longer for more stars as the park was closing, but it still looked pretty cool either way.

Lifeguard Tower at the Gold Coast, Queensland
The Gold Coast in Queensland is a paradise for swimmers and wave riders. Life guards keep watch from towers like this one at Snapper Rocks and make sure that the sea is safe - I enjoyed the sight of the lifeguard tower since it offers a great contrast to the blue sky!

This man belongs to the Dani people, one of the indigious tribes in the highlands of western New Guinea, also known as West Papua. Both the Indonesian West Papua and Papua New Guinea belong to the continent Australia.
