One of the special tourist attractions of the city of Pampatar (Isla de Margarita - Venezuela) is the "Punta Ballena" lighthouse. Located in the southeast, specifically in the La Caranta sector. It was designed to be visited and inside it has stairs in a circle that lead to eight balconies with beautiful views towards several points of the island.

Uluru at Sunset. When I travelled in Australia, I had never planned on visiting the red centre, but since I found a ride share headed there, I joined in. I had no expectations, but seeing this huge rock was just incredible! The colours at sunset are simply stunning.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - African Wednesday week #52 - winner announcement!

@aegir African Wednesday entry:

During one of my tours in Namibia, I stopped at a waterhole in Etosha National Park. There was not a single animal to see at that waterhole. However, when I wanted to drive off, a large group of elephants approached and decided to take a bath in the waterhole. Weeks later, when I was scrolling through my photos, I realized that there were two elephants in this photo.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - European Thursday week #52 - winner announcement!

@rimicane European Thursday entry:

I have visited Rome only once. It was enough to fall in love with this ancient city! If not the sd card size back in the days, the number of images would exceed all expectations. Let me name some of the architectural landmarks here. On the right, we have got the Tempio di Saturno. In the background, there is a beautiful church dating back to 17th century - Santi Luca e Martina. And then framed between the arches is the Septimius Severus Arch. The view was captured from the perfect spot on top of the Monte Tarpeo street.

El Chaltén, Argentina

Going up the mountains in El Chaltén is exhausting when you carry your life on your shoulders. Those 20 kg of equipment will feel heavier the more you do up. However, sometimes you'll stop to take a breath, that's when nature will send you extra energy to keep on going.

By walking along the 'Muralles Calle el Pedregal', I came across that street art. There are lot of beautiful surprise to discover in the city of The city of Cartagena, in Colombia.

PUNTA ARENAS BEACH

One of my favorite beaches on the island of Margarita is Punta Arenas; It is so called because it has a point that is the extreme southwest of the island of Margarita and on each side there is a beach. I recommend that those who visit this beach wait for the sunset because the sun slowly falls over the sea, giving a spectacular luminosity that will allow you to have really special photos. This I loved for its purple tones.

Fabulous capture! Thank you so much for sharing.

The sunsets of Juan Griego city on Margarita island Venezuela are a spectacle for those who live here and also for foreigners who come to visit, this is an old photograph, this day there were foreigners observing just the moment when the sun was lost on the horizon they were very excited to see such a wonder and began to applaud, I don't know what part of the world they came from but they gave me a great lesson and it was the appreciated that it can be a sunset for someone who is not used to seeing wonders like this and the privileged that I am of being able to see them every day.

Wow, what an amazing sunset. Well done!

Landscape with Sunset in Pijiguaos Bolivar Venezuela

Paisaje Pijiguao- Via Amazonas1.jpg

The Pijiguaos is a locality, of the municipality Cedeño in the Bolivar state, located to approximately 133,32 Kms of Caicara of the Orinoco Venezuela. It is a mining settlement of Bauxite (It is a sedimentary rock of chemical origin composed mainly of alumina and, to a lesser extent, iron oxide and silica, it is the main aluminum ore used by the industry) and there the CVG Bauxilum plant operates.

Paracas National Reserve, Peru

The coastal desert landscape of Paracas National Reserve near Ica was an impressive stop on my travels in South America. I rented a mountain bike and cycled around the peninsula. My favourite spot were these impressive yellow cliffs.

I have also posted this photo on my blog.

For a moment I thought it is an Australian Monday:)

Today I show you a photograph of the city of Caracas from the cable car of "El Avila" National Park, a very important place in this great city. Caracas is Venezuela's capital. The view from the cable car as you can see is really wonderful. Many people visit the place from early hours and can spend all day enjoying.

Some stunning views from up there!

This photograph is of the City of Juangriego - Venezuela, where you can see a beautiful landscape starring the sea, boats, mountains, a small bird in full flight and a slight sunset.

That looks so peaceful. Kindly stay tuned for the winner announcement coming later on today.

Orinoco Walk (Bolívar - Venezuela)

IMG-20180918-4512.jpg

Ciudad Bolívar is one of the cities in the country that holds more history in its streets, squares and museums. Known previously as Angostura, for being in one of the places where the Orinoco river is narrower. On the Orinoco promenade there is a viewpoint from where you can have a nice view of the river, the Angostura Bridge and also its islands. In this image you can see a beautiful sunset and in the background is the Angostura Bridge.

Thank you so much for your submission and have a great day. Stay tuned for the winner announcement coming later on.

Hi friend, time without participating in this great contest.

My entry, I published it days ago. It was a ramdom picture taken from the balcony of my house to the sky of the city of Merida, in Venezuela. It was taken at approximately 6:30 PM in the afternoon. It is the perfect time to capture the last rays of the sun, which illuminate the city. It's a really beautiful show.
