Chùa Bà Thiên Hậu or Ba Thien Hau Pagoda in English translates to "Pagoda of the Lady Thien Hau"

Your senses are all triggered when you enter, smells sounds and sights to see. Really powerful and puts your mind at ease almost instantly.

For me, I enjoy visiting these pagodas and temples to admire the architecture and just get some quiet time to reflect on life. I'm not religious, but I feel at peace when in these pagodas. The burning incense and occasional chants from monks calm the mind.

Chùa Bà Thiên Hậu style is Chinese and can is located on the busy Nguyen Trai Street in District 5 of Ho Chi Minh City. District 5 is known as China town in Ho Chi Minh City for the large Chinese community that exists there.

Nice open courtyard with so much to see

Claimed to be one of the oldest pagodas in the city, Chùa Bà Thiên Hậu was once a place people would go to wish for safe travels when sailing.

Nowadays people come to wish for luck, usually health, wealth and happiness.

It's well worth a visit if you are in Ho Chi Minh City as it is only about 20mins from the centre of the city. It always makes me feel good when I visit ☺️

That incense is nuts. I've never seen it like that. Enjoyed the post!

Cheers, yeah It's so impressive when up close, the smoke kinda spirals downwards. I've got videos, I'll try upload at some point.

It's empty when you visited, but wait for Chinese New Year in about two weeks!
Great photos - all of them!

Only once I've been and there was a western tour group. Otherwise, it's always quiet. You are right though, it will be packed for the New Year!

Very nice series!
