My first post. Through a thousand-year history.
Hello my friends, I would like to take you to the discovery of my beautiful city. Rome.
It begins by telling you about the place where the legend is born, the Palatine hill.
It is considered as Rome’s cradle, one of the most evocative places in the city as far as history, position and myth are concerned.
The story goes that in a cave at the foot of Palatino hill, two twin baby boys, Romulus and Remus, where found and breastfed by a she-wolf. Afterwards, Romulus himself lay the foundation of Rome.
The name of the hill is connected to legends, traditions and worships, such as the one in honor of Pales Goddess, which is celebrated on April 21st, date of the City foundation.
The Palatino archeological structure is nowadays an area consecrated to the memory of the city, and inside it is possible to visit many domus, gardens, buildings and ancient temples.
have a good trip to everyone.
