Emakhod's Travel Dreams; Destination Manila
Traveling shows us how beautiful the world we live in really is. It is an adventure everyone would love to experience. The earth is beautiful but how can we see its beauty if we don't explore it. There are many places in the world I would love to visit and Manila still remains one of my biggest travel dream.
WHY MANILA?
Well for me I have always wanted to visit the Philippines having watched some of their telenovela series with Manila being their most famed travel destination and home to an amazing way of sight, events and activities. The history, the food, the sights, the lifestyle are all exciting to me.
Manila is the capital of Philippines and a place for tourism, fashion, media and art. It is located on the southern part of Luzon with a population of over 1.78 million and primarily a Christian city. It host activities on music, movies, art and traditional holidays with some of their religious celebrations including Christmas, the feast of the black Nazarene and Slores De Mayo.
You can also find the best range of man-made attractions of locally produced crafts in Manila. Just to mention a few, silver tribal jewelry, ceramic pots, earthy pandan leaf mats, rustic wood figurines, intricate beadwork, brilliant weaves and rattan basketry.
GEOGRAPHICAL FEATURES
There are lots of geographical features in Manila but just to mention a few:
Rizal Park. It is one of the most largest urban parks in Asia with activities for trivia, chess, kite flying, aerobics, etc
National Museum of the Philippines. It serves as a means to exhibit the Filipinos national patrimony and heritage.
Star City Amusement Park. It's a home for various types of rides.
Manila Ocean Park. It is an integrated urban resort with marine life attractions. The park host the Trails to Antarctica, the first penguin park facility in the country which features Humboldt Penguins
San Augustin Church. It is the oldest church in the Philippines
Cultural Centre of the Philippines. It is the premier showcase of music, dance, theater, vocal arts, literacy, cinematic and design event in the Philippines.
Malacanaag Palace. It is the official residence and principal workplace of the president of the Philippines.
Ayala Museum. It exhibits the Filipino arts and history.
SM Mall of Asia. It is the 4th largest shopping mall in the Philippines and the 11th in the world.
Manila Zoo. Home to about a thousand animals with wildlife rescue center, botanical garden and kinder zoo.
FOODS
The people of Manila has various varieties of dishes with amazing recipe. These includes Kare Kare, Buko pie, Lechon, Fresh Lumpia, Chicken Sotanghon, Chami, Beef Mechado, Pancit Bihon Guisado, Chucharon, Adobo, Ginataang Papaya, Leche Flan, Kilawin Na Tanigue, Sinigang, Kaldereta, Bulalo, Kinilaw, Crispy Pata and Turon.
LANGUAGE
Although Filipino is the official language in Philippines, Tagalog is popularly spoken in Manila. Based on the population of foreigners living in Manila, English, Mandarin and Hokkien are also spoken.

Beautiful country, one day I want to visit it
I've lived there before how many years and yes indeed Manila is one of the biggest city and a lot of beautiful places to go and since it is a more developed a lot of people are amazed by this big city. =)
