Joyfulness @ Jesselton - Day Time
Kota Kinabalu, formerly known as Jesselton is indeed a busy jetty. We arrived at 8.30am to find a crowded jetty with lots of food and activities.
However, I was more excited about my much anticipated dive sessions. We took the boat out towards the blue sea and sky.
It was a beautiful day for a dive. Unfortunately, I've yet the resources to invest in an underwater camera :( but the marine life never cease to amaze me. There were cuttle fish, puffer fish, porcupine fish, anemonies, corals, nudibranch etc. If only i could capture these amazing fascinating sightings (for now, it is captured in my memories :)).
We have lunch at one of the larger islands namely, Gaya Island at Tunku Abdul Rahman Park.
Upon arrival at Padang Point on Gaya Island, we were greeted by an interesting signage which is rarely seen or rather this is my first time seeing it in Malaysia! which was good humour.Haha...see below...
Why?! Haha
Anyways, lunch was delightfully authentic and spicy.
Curry beef with generous amounts of onions and potato, roughly chopped. Nothing to scream about. :p
The scenary from the island is breathtaking. However, I would have enjoyed it better if it wasn't packed with tourists. (no thigh gap :( #societypressure ...haha) Nah....screw the gap..... i love food! LMFAO. Well, I did try to get my partner to try his best to snap it from the most flattering angle he could. It did not work out well and his reply was, and I quote "this is the most flattering angle given the subject's quality." rolled my eyes
The view as we part from the blue sea and sky.
And......back to the mainland where we stumbled upon this astounding hotel which facade seemed out of placed.
A pleasant end to a day filled with joy, fun and many interesting sightings!
