Winter street photos

in #travel6 years ago

Street photos in Russian cities, especially in the northern strip, are very difficult to shoot, since there is practically no life on the street. It is even more difficult to photograph life on the streets of small provincial cities, such as Veliky Ustyug. But still, if you really want, then something can happen.

First, I need to tune in to the desired rhythm, then walk just twenty minutes and only then the first imagination will start to appear, and with them the photos.

I am always drawn to the central streets of the city, although it is often more life on the outskirts.

First, I shoot at ordinary passers-by.

Or drivers.

And then the events themselves find me.

After heavy snowfall, cars cannot drive even along the main streets.

But by joint efforts of passersby, all motorists quickly manage to save from the snow captivity.

Locals have not seen the sun for a long time and now rejoice in its rays.

Dogs are an integral part of street life.

On the frozen lake there are slides for skating on tubing (now a buzzword that replaces cheesecake).

Children here expanse - slides for every taste, height and length.

A window in the ruins of the Church of the Presentation of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God.

Cheerful and kind dog.

Cheerful and kind children.

Cadets return home from school.

And again the dogs...

They are everywhere!

The sun shone a little more, pleased the people with its warmth and again disappeared behind the clouds that brought another snowfall.

I love photos like these - to me, sitting at my computer in England, it's like a window into another world!

I'm glad that you like it, thanks!
