Eating local is a major part of any adventure. Here, over food, you can connect with the locals and carry on conversations  over a meal. Try new and different things, as that is part of the life of those who are hosting you in their house. Going to another country, is like going into their home. Most locals are happy to see you and will try and carry a conversation, if you also put out the effort. They want you to try their favorite foods. It is a delight for them to share with you.
