Rodeo, New Mexico - small town America
I drove through this town today to do some work. It's about a forty minute drive from the Interstate and the same distance to the closest town. It has no gas station and if they're lucky, fifteen streets.
In the picture above, you're looking at the center of town. I was standing in the parking lot of their only tavern/restaurant and the building to the right is their grocery store if you want to call it that. I honestly have more groceries and selection in my pantry at home. It does have some benefits though!
It's extremely quiet and probably would be the perfect spot to do a little homesteading. It also has absolutely beautiful country around for your viewing pleasure!
