On a Hot Summer Day in Arizona

in #travel8 years ago

Lets be honest, there's not much you can do in Arizona on those really hot summer days. I'm a mom of three kids and I'm always looking to do something fun and cool for them, we found these two beautiful spots..Papago Park where we love to go hiking (early in the morn of course) lol and Lake Pleasant. I haven't been able to explore this whole lake yet (it's huge) but we have our fave little spot where can go and just be one with good ol mother nature, swimming is so relaxing and nice, the water is perfect temp...especially when it's over 100 degrees out! Lake Pleasant is only 20 minutes up the road from us, we've been living in AZ for 7 years now and just recently discovered it last summer...how we made it through those rough summers without the lake I don't know lol, but now for 6 bucks parking pass for all day...you just can't pass that kind of fun up.

Papago Park is equally amazing, it's beautiful, the caves are nice and a great way to escape the heat and cool down. My kids love the lake part of it and of course...feeding the ducks haha. it's just the perfect thing to do as a family, you can leave all the daily stress of life behind and just go explore! The best time to go to Papago is early early in the morn...like just before the sun comes up. Trust me...by 8 am...it's blazzin saddles out there. Hope everyone gets a chance to see these two awesome places both very family friendly.
