Our Wedding In Banff National Park Canada

@mickeybeaves and I woke up at 5:00am and made our drive from radium hot springs outside of the National parks to the fairmont springs castle in Banff to meet my hair and make up artists. When we got to the castle they collected our bags and put us in a day room so I could get ready because our suite wasn’t ready yet. Cody and I went and had breakfast, before my artists showed up, at the vermillion room which was a buffet style breakfast which our tab ended up being picked up by someone else which was a great surprise and gift for our wedding morning.

After breakfast we made our way to the day room where my hair and make up artists met me and helped me create my perfect wedding look, my hairstylist even braided Cody’s hair for him after she finished with me. After getting dolled up it was time to meet our photographer at the front desk and follow him to our wedding location(Emerald Lake).

Our photographer knew the area very well and took us to several different locations near the lake for our shoot. In the first two locations I started in a dress that Cody’s family helped me picked out and at emerald lake I wore a mermaid dress my family helped pick out and was dyed by a friend of mine.

Our photographer was amazing, he heard our ideas and vision and exceeded our expectations. We spent 4 hours of the day taking pictures at various locations and ended at emerald lake where I took the last of our pictures standing in the water and where Cody and I finished our day with our private ceremony before making our way back to our suite at the top of the castle and getting ready for our dinner reservation, at a German restaurant where we ate fondue for the first time! After dinner we took a romantic 2hr bath in our king bathtub with jets, epsom salt and essential oils.

We spent two luxurious days in the most amazing suite in a beautiful castle over looking the mountains and trees from the very top floor. We pampered ourselves with a spa day, ordered room service, ate at some of the fanciest restaurants and just enjoyed each others company. I am so lucky I married my best friend.
