Job Charnock's trip to the city 'Kolkata' is harsh
I just returned from Kolkata. This time I went to the city six times. From a young age, the city of Calcutta seems very close to me because of its habit of reading books. Whether you are a history lover, foodie joke or bookstore, you will find all in Kolkata tour. Today I will share with you some of the famous places in Kolkata and my experience in traveling to Kolkata, which may make your travels even more convenient.
Journey Episode
In Kolkata you can go by bus, train or plane. The easiest way is to fly, so it will cost more. However, the biggest advantage is that if you select the flight in advance, you will get at least one extra day, which is not possible on the bus or on the train. However, if you want a low cost and have enough time in your hand, the bus or train is very useful.
Hotel arrangements
After reaching Kolkata, everyone is concerned about accommodation or hotel selection. You might think naturally, I go to one of the hotels around Newmarket. At first I did the same. But in this case my advice is to choose a hotel, not just in the vicinity of Newmarket. Because the surroundings of Newmarket mean that Marquees or Sadar Street or nearby hotels are under stress all year long. In most cases, hotel bookings are a hassle. I was in danger twice. After fixing everything on the phone, there is no room to go, and you can not easily find another quality hotel even if demand is high.
So in my opinion, stay away from Newmarket. You will get many good hotels for the same money. You can find out a little in Agoda or at booking.com Many good hotels will be available at close prices. You can stay at Sadar Street (many say Sadar Street) at the Golden Apple or Park Hotel on Park Street. Being in a three or four star hotel can make your entire trip much more comfortable. There are also many good hotels on Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Road. The advantage of these areas is that you can avoid the crowds and stay in peace. Two minutes walk from the Park Hotel to the corner of Russell Street. Then do not rush into the rickshaw or auto your new market.
Transportation system
Many people talk about a problem in Kolkata. That's a lot of taxi fare. On the other hand we do not know the tram or bus route. The simplest solution is Uber. The Uber drivers here are known for their professionalism. Available anywhere, anytime. AC Uber fare is lower than the yellow non-AC ambassador. Besides, the Kolkata Metro is a great thing. Going far can cost less and in less time.
New travelers often fall in danger of losing their currency. There are many places, but the shops on Sadler Street are probably the best rates. You can redeem both dollars and Bangladeshi money.
Travel episodes
Every two hundred years old Job Charnock's city is literally wrapped in history in every allegory. And here is the main attraction of Kolkata. You can visit some of the places where history is witnessed. Examples are - Marble Palace, Thakurbari of Jorasanko, Victoria Memorial, Queen's Mansion on Park Street, College Street, Coffee House, Howrah Bridge, Esplanade. I didn't go to Belur, Digha, Diamond Harbor, Santiniketan. Not even in Kalighat. But I wish I could go in the days ahead.
There are also numerous road, street and lane intersections.
Countless characters of history and story literature can be remembered in the alley of the city of Kolkata. Bomkesh was no longer Ajit on Harrison Road. Taranath Tantric in Mott Lane. Tell us who lived in Rajni Sen Road? That's right. Feluda and Topsay. Kirishti Roy's Allison home in Talliganj. Twenty-seventy-one of our favorite 'Ghanada' resided at Banami Naskar Lane. College Street is a pilgrimage to education. What's not here? Presidency College, Kolkata University, Sanskrit College of Vidyasagar, Hindu College, Kolkata Medical College, Hair School. In this one place you will find everything. When you walk through two bookshelves, you will feel like you are stepping into history. There are also Bazaar, Boobazar, etc.
There is also the famous Park Street, whose official name is 'Mother Tereza Sarani'. But it is more known as Park Street. Park Street Cemetery is one of the oldest non-church cemeteries in the world. It was probably the largest Christian cemetery in the world outside Europe and America in the nineteenth century. At that time it was called Burial Ground Road. Later it was named Park Street. The name Park Street comes from the seventeenth-century English Chief Justice Sir Elijah's Deer Park. From there, Park Street.
Science City is the most efficient place for kids to roam. Not all day, three or four hours will be easily spent. The kids can be seen walking around a building after a bus ride. You can also visit the Birla Planetarium.
Another option for the day is Nicco Park. You will find numerous rides at this amusement park in the Salt Lake area. Kids will love it. But the price of the ticket seems a bit high. The kids have another playground on the top floor of the South City Mall. They will be able to play many games at a ticket of Rs. And when the kids read the book, enter the bookstore called 'Oxford'. Will read, eat, buy books. In my opinion this bookstore is an ideal place for kids.
If you are a bookstore, Collegestreet is your Kasi-Mecca-Bethlehem. Books Hey books, the narrow isle between the two racks. And two books in a row. One-storey, two-storey, how many books are out of calculation You will get the original book for about half the price of Dhaka.
You can leave in the afternoon at the Victoria Memorial. You can sit in the shade of the trees on its wide lawns. The two huge reservoirs on both sides of the wide road from the north gate to the building simultaneously protect the environment and enhance the beauty. Girlfriends of all ages who visualize the scene or capture the lens become traditionally nostalgic!
Before the evening, a taxi could be called to Millennium Park. From here, you can see the Howrah Bridge. Such a beautiful place, difficult to describe in language. Then slowly the evening will come down.
Meal episode
The reason I love Kolkata is its variety of food, availability and unimaginably cheap prices. When I go to Kolkata, I notice the small food shops sitting by the road. Street food in Kolkata is very popular with everyone. When I go to Kolkata, my list of dishes is idli-dosa, pavaji, all kinds of momo, spicy choumin. Panipuri is eaten in small leaf cups. I played Nizam's roll twice in the past. And this time a new addition is the Royal Mutton Pressure. Luchi and potatoes have nothing to say about breathlessness. This time I did not have the opportunity, but last time I ate rice with shik kebab and naan and mutton rezala in a Newmarket. Dahi-chaat is another unique food, there is a petal lick. And the taste of Malai tea in the soil is extraordinary.
I went to the coffee house and ate fish cutlets and Kabiraji cutlets. Such is the chaff and chaff in front of the growth market. There is a petal litter here, you will see. And there is a bartender, who has eaten in this store up to the Prime Minister of England, David Cameron. But that's true. There is also a photo of Cameron with the shopkeeper!
There is also a shoe shop on Hartford Lane, which I really like. While in Kolkata, I visit it almost every day. However, I am most satisfied with sugarcane juice. When cooled with ice and mixed with lemon juice in a glass, his taste was extraordinary. I have everything I need. Some with saffron, some with pestanam.
There is no alternative to kulfi as a dessert. Since the prices are incredibly cheap, the list can be eaten all over the place. Besides, I have been terrified by the 'Haldiram' of how sweet it may be. This time, it was 'Sen Masai' and Hedu's 'Nakud Nandi' to see the rabbi. And when he was a kid, he heard 'Bhimanga' Sandesh. Due to lack of time I could not stand. However, I have a shop set up on 'Rafi Ahmed Kidwai' Road for rubbery, rasmalai and butter-soaked buns. I came to Kolkata but never went there.
Other than that I didn't go to other restaurants. Breakfast at Flurries or dinner at Peter Kate or Mokambo or Tung Fong did not go bad. But restaurants like this are numerous in Dhaka. Since I usually live in the vicinity of Newmarket, Blue Sky Cafe is often visited. And 'banquet company'. 'Arsalan' might be a good choice for a moghlai dish. And there are thousands like Kasturi, Prince, Sonargaon for Bengali food.
With all of this, I like Kolkata's taste. You can see
Movie episode
After a long day of wandering, you enter a shopping mall and eat at the food court and enter 'Ainxe'. Although not too much, I can tell you about four places. Forums, Quest, SouthCity, Acropolis, Lake Mall - You can visit them. All movie theaters are indispensable. But this time the experience is unimaginable.
The movie must be seen at least once in the 'Insignia' theater in South City. There is a seat for everyone, which goes from sitting to sleeping to just a few buttons. Much like the first-class seat on a plane. No need to run for pop-corn at intermission. There is a button for Attendant. It will come up with its own menu. You just put the order in trouble. Even the pause machine will bring the bill. This trip was the most enjoyable of the trip.
Remember, all malls are all but no arrangement. This is the only setting at the 'Insignia' Theater in Southcity and the Forum. There are other theaters in these malls. That's like ten other Enix.
Shopping episode
Going to Kolkata will be a long way to go. However, if your bargaining power is not strong enough, you may suffer a blow. If you want to avoid this hassle and get comfortable with the price, go straight to the original Dhekashwari garment. There is no sari and punjabi in this huge store of three storeys in Ghesihatara Triangular Park. You can also go to 'Nalli'. Its main store is probably in Delhi. The 'beauty' of the big market can easily meet your needs. Sundari's branch is also on Park Street. Here you will find Sarovar, Sarang - these shops.
Shakespeare Sarani (formerly known as Theater Road) is the 'fashion big bazaar' for all great clothes at low prices. The prices here are extremely tolerable. There are many shops in Newmarket area. Girls can go to Viva for sporty clothing. These shops are located next to Vardhan Market on Camac Street. "Milan" and "Treasure Island" for salwar kameez. All around New Market. For watches and sunglasses, 'Titan' and 'Titan I' are the best, respectively. Both are on Park Street.
He went to Kawai Lane's 'Sultanate' to buy Punjabi. It is on Hardford Lane, which connects Sadler Street and Lindsay Street. This is Newmarket on Lindsay Street. A little information. The original name of the new market is the hog market. Named after Sir Stuart Hogg, and was born on the 1874.
And yes, Mr. Leather. A great leather goods store. Do not give more details today.
This is how I visited Kolkata city. Looking forward to seeing you again soon Kololini Kolkata.
