I Spent My Christmas On A Train With Strangers
Whenever I am on the bus or long trips to somewhere, being on a tight budget, I always try not to buy anything or eat since I know that I won't be working and would just sleep anyway.
Yesterday, on the train to Malaysia, this lovely granny tried to talk to me in Thai. As usual I just let her finish talk, haha, and eventually told her I don't speak Thai. She laughed then pointed to my backpack's flags of countries that I've been. On my understanding, she was amazed and maybe thought that I travelled all of those just by trains. Hehe.
Vendors came in, I realized I still had coins of baht to spend. So when a coffee vendor walked by, I ordered one and started counting my coins. The vendor laughed and offered it to me for free but I insisted to pay. Hahaha!
After few minutes, granny started buying me food, four times in two hours. Haha! She even bought me something for breakfast because according to her body language I'd be hungry again.
So that's how I spent my Christmas, almost 20hrs of train ride with amazing strangers.
