The Philippines is known for having rich biodiversity as its main tourist attraction. Its beaches, mountains, rain forests, islands and diving spots are among the country's most popular tourist destinations. Today, I'll just introduce one of the rare beaches in the Philippines.

Mabua-Looc Pebble Beach is just a 20-minute drive from Surigao city. It is located in the Northeastern part of Mindanao, Philippines. From the city center, there are two ways to get there: (1) via National Highway road, and (2) via Banawe road. I prefer the latter part because it has an astonishing view of the beach surrounded with coconut trees and the city view. But, when I was a child, we always used the National Highway since it was more accessible route from our house. I still remember those days when we're struggling with the muddy and rocky road. Landslide due to heavy rain fall was a big challenge for locals then. Good enough that roads recently are somehow improving.

It is naturally surrounded with multi-sized pebbles, come and take a therapeutic walk here. According to traditional Chinese medical theory, "regularly walking on reflexology walking paths stimulates reflexology areas and pressure points in your feet that correspond to all major body organs and areas". Hence, walking around here is a healthy exercise. You can check for further benefits in this site: http://www.chinese-holistic-health-exercises.com/reflexology-walking-paths.html

I've been to a lot of beaches around the Philippines, undeniably, most of them have white sand. Some have black or pink ones. And so far, Mabua-Looc Pebble Beach is the only beach I've ever been to that has myriads of multi-sized pebbles making up its shoreline. Please let me know some pebble beaches around the Philippines.

In addition, if you're up for a mountain trail. There's a famous 380 steps just behind the hotel of Mt. Bagarabon Beach Hotel and Resort. Just look for this sign.

The mandatory selfie of a first-time visitor with my sis. Smile, though your knees are aching. :D

Voila! A refreshing and amazing view awaits you after an exhausting climb. It offers a panoramic view of the bay. From afar, it looks like having white sand. That's how beautiful pebbles here, smooth and white. Interestingly, the sea looks like divided in this picture but it reminds me that nothing can separate us from the love of God.

It's always great to end the day with a gorgeous sunset. That's me with Chow-chow. :)
