Bicycle on the Island...!!

Lets start with the importance of using the bicycle today, we know that today the planet its being contaminated by all the millions of vehicles people use it everyday, that Im also one of them sometimes, and when I say sometimes means, I dont have a car and i really enjoy ride my bike everyday, to go work, go to the beach ( 10 mins away) or just go around. It helps you to lose weight, improve your overall health, you can take it everywhere you want, one of the most importants it doesnt burn gasoline. In these days the bicycle is a lifestyle doesnt really matter the kind of bike you have the important is use it.

You can use it for different reasons, for me I just love that freedom feeling I get when I ride it, feeling the wind against my face, discover new places, hidden beaches, restaurants, specially in a place like Playa del carmen where I live there are so many different places where you can bike.

If you enjoying as much as i do ride bicycle and find the best spots, you most visit Cozumel Island. Me, my wife and one friend decided to take our bikes with us, we found out it is easier than we though, we could easly cross on the ferry for 140MXN or 6USD round trip with your bike with any extra cost. While we were crossing we could see the perfect view with an amazing deep blue, light blue you can see the different colours of the sea, I never get tired and impressed by the caribean specially in this area, that island is just a paradise.

Once we arrived after 35 mins crossing that you dont realize the time pass by so fast, we were starving when we arrived so we decide to go to a local restaurant called Camaron Dorado, where you can find the best Shrimp tortas, located on the main road going to the other side of the island, the prices are good around $40MXN or 3USD with an amazing horchata a drink made with rice.

After that amazing breakfast, we bike to the other side where the Money bar is, there is a little reef area close to that bar, where you dont need to take any kind of tour, completly full of coulorfull fishes, small stingray, i recomend to take your own snorkel, and water shoes thats enought to enjoy and not get hurt, but even with the shoes, when i was getttin out of the water one of the waves push me into the rocks and i got i little hurt but nothing really serious.

On the way back we found a beach club called Rastas with a safe place to leave the bikes, it was a small restaurant with their own dock, where they have hammocks hangging on the wather that relax me laying down and moving with the waves, one of the best things at the beach club was the pet they have, its a black friendly pig walking around from chair to chair chilling with the people, we ordered a pocket of 5 beers for $150MXN or $9USD.

After the beach club we were so hungry and we decide to continue to another local restaurant a little bit hidden in the neightborhood but on the way there my friends wheel explote, we ask the people around and we got a new one really fast, we continue all the way to the restaurant called El Farito, so popular between locals, they have the famous Pimitos they are fried dough and you choose what you want to have on top everything fresh like fish, shrimps octopus, or snail that is really popular in cozumel, they also have fried fish and ceviche. The restaurant is so cozy, and we could see while they are making the food, even before it gets to table we fell in love with smell.

Cozumel has a beautiful people and the everywhere you turn you see something interesting.

For the last stop we decide to go one of the beaches Las Rocas, called like that because all the entrance there full of rocks but once we crossed them the sand and the beach is amazing, not many people, beautiful colours of the sea, where we just rest for a little more before we take the ferry back to playa del carmen.
