The Danube Delta
The Danube springs from the Black Forest in Germany and passes through four major European capitals. Following a 2,860 km route, the Danube River forms at its discharge into the Black Sea, the Danube Delta. It is the second largest river in Europe after the Volga and is among the few rivers flowing from west to east.
The Danube Delta is located in the South East of the country and is limited to the South West by the Dobrudja Plateau, the North crosses the Ukrainian border, and the East flows into the Black Sea. This tourist area hosts a wonderful landscape due to the diverse fauna and flora.
