MY JOURNEY TO HIMALAYAS -- BLOG -- EP 05 "SNOW DAY"

Some feelings can never be explained in words it can only be experienced by themself.

As I continue from my previous blog... Started the day early as we wanted to cross Srinagar as soon as possible in the early morning. We were staying very close to the DAL LAKE. So as we started out of our hotel beautiful DAL LAKE for another 15 to 20 minutes of the ride along the river side.

We came across 2 or 3 groups of mobs who were stopping all the tourists and collecting money and we all tricked them and crossed all of them. This is a common scenario if anyone travelling across srinagar. But soon we got into Highway and then road was all ours.

It was chilling all the way and we came across a little rain as well. As we reached Sonamarg where we saw the snow in real for the first time and that wonderful beauty of nature with snow is unforgettable.

So after that we got the first high altitude pass ZOJILA PASS . It was so much of filled up with dust and dirt and too many landslides and machines working on constructing road there. With lot of traffic jam somehow we crossed Zojila and reached ZERO POINT.

My first experience standing on the snow at zero temperature with frozen hands! Yes it was completely a different experience to feel the numbness due to cold weather on those higher altitudes. Best thing we did there is had hot Maggie sitting on the ice or snow at freezing weather.

Some feelings can never be explained in words as experienced by us! I'm trying to put out some of the most memorable moments out here. This is all for this blog, oops not even covered half of the day! Next blog will be about KARGIL stay tuned!
