Travelling through the Rocky Mountains Part 1 (Summer 2016)

Now that winter's here, I am having a quick throwback to summer just to forget about all the snow for a little bit. The Rocky Mountains are a big part of the Canadian natural beauty and the views are definitely breathtaking. I went on a trip to the Rocky Mountains the summer of 2016 and 2017.

And the adventure begins

What better way to see the mountains than a road trip to through Calgary, AB. to the Rocky Mountains. The GPS is guiding to Lake Louise. As you start leaving the city and pass the prairie flatlands, you start seeing mountains in the distance. Before you know it, you're driving along the rocky mountains in awe.

One of the best parts of the Rocky Mountains are the blue rivers and lakes. The deeper you drive, you start noticing rivers and lakes appear around the roadside.

Finally, we arrive in Lake Louise. It takes a couple of hours from Calgary. You don't see the lake right away.

But you see a grandiose hotel right in front of you as you walk through the parkade towards where the crowd seems to be headed. Its hotel Fairmont, and you just can't stop imagining having a room on the highest floor and the view you get to see from there. As you follow the trail leading towards the lake, you start seeing glimpses of people in canoes, paddling along the blue lake. The view clears and finally you face the great blue lake.....
