The Buen Retiro Park Madrid, Spain

So I haven’t posted in a while because I was very busy but I’m coming back and I give you already a post about one of my favorite parks in Madrid, Spain

The Buen Retiro Park (Spanish: Parque del Buen Retiro in English park of the pleasant retreat) is one of the largest parks of Madrid.
The park belonged to the Spanish Monarchy until the late 19th century, when it became a public park.

I’ve been so many times to this park but these pictures are from February, the weather was great I could walk in long ripped jeans and a shirt with short sleeves, and don’t forget the sunglasses. The beautiful thing about this park is that is so big you can do anything and there are so many people but everyone is doing his own thing and nobody is looking weird at each other.

Maybe you’ve seen this ever on the internet, not exactly this picture I think because I shot it but something that looks like this, this is one of the things people know the park from. There is a big lake in the middle of the park where people can paddle in rowboats if rowing isn’t something for you they have also solar powered boats ;), you see also a big statue in the back where many people relax, (they relax in the whole park btw)

There are many things to do in the park: there are events as concerts, firework shows, cultural events, even a book fair where people can drop off their used books for other people, it is also possible to exercise in a special area for old and young, children can play on many different playgrounds and from May till early October every Sunday at midday, the Banda Sinfónica de Madrid gives free concerts from the bandstand in the park.
Here above you see pictures of the crystal palace what is also in the park, sometimes the palace is empty and sometimes they have art in it, this time there was only 1 caravan with a sleeping doll inside and little dolls it was kinda scary but also beautiful.

they had also a little zoo in it you can find empty abandoned cages now but there are still some animals to find the peacock and many! I really love this animal it is so beautiful.
