Calaguas - Planning and a Do-it-Yourself Itinerary

As promised from my first story, here’s the itinerary for the When in Calaguas

Me and my friends planned the trip first week of April and Mary Ann was hosting. Oh by the way, it’s her birthday. So in honor of her birthday we were looking for a place where we can camp. Many places were suggested and considered, like Zambales, and Parola Island in Camarines Norte. Mary Anne set her heart in going to Calaguas Islands.

On April 15th, the weather was not good in Camarines Norte particulary in Calaguas Islands, some tourists got stranded and those who insists to sail their sailboat capsized. It’s just a week before our trip. Because of that news we were alarmed, that’s why we closely monitor the ocean waves thru wind guru and waitingfor the gale warnings as a precautionary measures to ensure safe anchorage. Safety first is always important in every travel we take. Fortunately a days before our trip weather was getting better everyday.

On April 19th, Friday 10pm we meet up in McDonald’s across Trinoma Mall and depart around 1030pm. Arrived in Paracale around 5am, and had our breakfast before sailing to the island. It was a bright sunny day when we arrived at Calaguas Island.

We enjoyed swimming and photo op under the scorching sun, with the turquoise water and powdery white sand.

For only Php2,700.00 we had the best escape anyone can have (beach), not so crowded place and surely a paradise.
