Landingan Viewpoint is an elevated spot that provides a full view of the town of Nagtipunan in Quirino as well as the river and verdant landscapes that run through it. Many travelers compare this site to the rolling hills of Batanes, a province found in the northernmost tip of the Philippines.

Our Journey to Landingan Viewpoint

We traveled around 6-7 in the morning with my friend's motorcycle vehicle. She said she'll pick me up at 7 so I waited for her. I'm not done packing my clothes yet when she arrived.

Since our travel buddies is from Jones, Isabela; they took the other way. We just met each other at Maddela, Quirino. We stop over in Maddela Public Market and buy some food to bring in Landingan Viewpoint.

There are 6 motorcycles and we were 12 people plus other 1 who was late, he rode alone hahaha.

We stopped at the entrance of Nagtipunan for payment. 25 Pesos each person for ecological fee.
We took a picture of us after the payment.

This photo of mine was taken by ate levie when we stopped at Maddela Quirino where the biggest cow is located.

It seems so gloomy when we arrived. As what you can see in the picture.

Im wishing to see the sunrise smiling to us, welcoming us in Landingan Viewpoint. But the cloudy weather is welcoming us.I said, it's okay, it's not raining hard so it's okay to hike in that kind of weather.

The mari-gold flower is blooming brightly even without the presence of shining sun.

I don't know what is the name of this purple flower, but it's pretty!

IMG_20230512_113236.jpg

We called the red flower as “Tap-tapingar” in iloko but I don't know what is the scientific name of this flower too. I just love the color of it.

THE HIKE BEGINS...

Try to look at the picture below, If you zoom it out you can see a small nipa house there. If you have arrived there, you can rest for a bit and ready your body for the higher walk or hike.

I enjoyed walking since I took a few photographies while walking. The bottom view is seen like this when I arrived at the nipa house.

But that doesn't mean that we were done hiking. The long rocky path is waiting! The road is made of layered real rocks and stones.

The people in Nagtipunan, Quirino are really hardworking. They are so patience and skillfull in doing this work.

IMG_20230512_114102.jpg

This is the second hardest part in hiking, that's why you must really stop and rest first at the nipa house, before start to walk again in this kind of way.

You should walk slowly so that it wont take your breath away haha.

The three boys ran and we three girls walk slowly but even we're walking, we are laughing since ate Manilyn is a joker.

At the top of the mountain we can see the river below.

mahulog na lahat, huwag lang me.

I won't stop admiring the natural beauty of landingan viewpoint even though it was my 3rd times visiting this place.

hindi ka nakakasawang tignan.

Better to shout out your heavy and unsaid thoughts here. The view is worth the hike! Worth the sweat.

When we were at the top of the hill, there's a nipa house there, we eat our snacks since we already eat our breakfast before we hike.

It's just the snacks we ate and telling stories to each others. We were still joking that time even though we were all tired from hiking.

IMG_20230512_122212.jpg

I'm tired.

In the first place, we only had plan to hike the Landingan Viewpoint, but after the hike, the newly couple decided to have swimming at the nearest falls. And good thing that the tour guide recommended Gawagan Falls. 15-20 minutes from Viewpoint.

Ate Manilyn took this picture when we were still riding with ate Levie.

They still seems so tired from hiking but they were always on the go when they invited us to swim.

Welcome to Gawagan Nature Park!

White rocks are seen inside this falls. The water is cold yet it's clear and clean!

IMG_20230512_135946.jpg

Sadly, I didn't take too much picture here since I got excited in swimming. I love being in the water like swimming because it makes my mind to relax.

IMG_20230512_135904.jpg

We enjoyed the swimming too even though we just did it for I think only one hour since we were chasing our time then, for our meetings.

Anyways, I enjoyed being there so Thank you if you're reading this. Cause it will serve this as a memories again.

I won't say no if someone will invite me to hike in Landingan Viewpoint again.
