It was the residence plus symbol of the Dalai, but it seems to be a taboo subject after their dominance is being taken away.

Almost all rooms in Potala Palace can be visited, even the living room of the Dalai. However photography is not allowed inside the Potala.

Tourist can reserve the entrance ticket 1 day in advance.
