Hong Kong's Backyard: Shing Mum Reservoir

in #travel8 years ago (edited)

Hong Kong is famous for its skyscrapers and beautiful night views, and people always forget about its open spaces - woods, mountains, beaches and wetlands which make up almost over three-quarters of Hong Kong area.

People in Hong Kong love hiking on the weekends, mainly because of its easy accessibility.  You can arrive most of the nature reserves in Hong Kong by bus from the city for no more than 30mins to experience the serenity of nature and enjoy the emerald and azure view.

These pictures were taken from the Shing Mum Reservoir. Shing Mum Reservoir is an excellent source of fresh water and home to many species of butterflies and migratory birds.

Those pictures that you took are amazing. It makes me wish that I was there to enjoy the same view!

I'll take you around when you come to Hong Kong!

Thanks for showing the other side... @kingfelix
