Visit to Huangshan - the Yellow Mountains 黃山之旅

in #travel8 years ago (edited)

Huangshan, the Yellow Mountains, is regarded as one of the most famous and beautiful mountains in China. Huangshan is especially famous for its’ seas of cloud and morning sunrise scenery. My father went to Huangshan, the Yellow Mountains thirty years ago, and he always kept telling us the beauty and the excitement of climbing to the stiff mountains.

We departed from Hangzhou and arrived the hillside of the Yellow Mountains after four hours of a bus.  We stayed on the hillside for one night first, and then another night on the peak.

It’s another thirty minutes bus drive from the hillside to the entrance. From there, you can choose to either take a cable or climb to the peak directly. We picked the latter, which took us another four hours. The view you see while you’re walking up wasn’t that magnificent, so I would recommend you to save the energy and time for the walk around the peak.

You can also see some porters carrying goods uphill as there are hotels and restaurants on the peak, and cargo cannot be transported on the cable cars.

Unfortunately, the weather was not great, and it’s rainy and windy. We weren’t able to take a picture of sunset/sunrise at the peak. However, even the scenery of Huangshan was quite blurry, we still managed to take some lovely pictures of nature.

Visiting Huangshan was surely one of the travel experiences that I would never forget in my life!
