Stigmatatata from Lake Titicaca!

Great music & video, thanks for sharing. Makes me want to visit Ireland. thumbs up

Ah. Tks. sirlunchthehost. You will love Ireland. We'll make you very welcome. We'll keep our fingers crossed. You're right. Ireland is beautiful and has great musicians.

Beautiful piece and video! Upvoted and Followed

There is a long cultural connection between the people of Ireland and here on the island of Newfoundland, Canada. Back in the 1600-1700's it was a short hop for my ancestors to hope on a boat bound for the rich fishing grounds of Newfoundland. The majority of our population can be traced directly back to Ireland. Because of this, so can our music!!

As I listen to this beautiful piece by Ed Deane I can hear our relationship. The melodies, rhythms, subject matter of the music of Ireland and the music of Newfoundland are directly connected. I am sure he is my 32nd musical cousin :) As a fiddler like my father, I grew up learning the Irish standards along with the Newfoundland ones. I am playing a gig this weekend and I am sure half the tunes will be Irish and the other half will sound Irish ;)

Thank you for sharing this and you are all welcome to come to Newfoundland for a family reunion :)

Cheers,

Ah. Thats a lovely reply buckydurddle. Thanks for the invitation. We love this guy. If you're ever over we'll direct you to the BEST gig in Ireland and you'll see him live. Thanks again

Upvoted, followed, esteemed and tweeted. How come I've never heard of Ed before? Defo Ireland's best kept musical secret, lol.
Do you have any links you could maybe add to the post (edit) or here in the comments to his website/music/upcoming gigs? Would be very interested.

These guys are also made up of many of the same band members. Also very worth seeing.

you're right on the money there beanz

you're right. If you're from Ireland take a trip into Frank Ryans pub in Smithfield. He has to be seen and heard to be believed.

There'll be a steemit meetup in Frank Ryans before you know it.

What a good idea

Thanks for the info!

You're welcome

Hi davidbrogan.
Yeah. Heres his website http://eddeane.com/

As you will read here he has weekly gigs in the Leeson Lounge Dublin with Los Paradiso on Wednesdays and
another gig in Frank Ryans Smithfield every thursday. He has the most extensive repertoire I have ever come across. He often plays with other bands too, including his own Ed Deane Band.
He has a few cds of his own songs ....beautiful cds...one called Wireless another called Slideshow.
He's the best kept secret in Ireland. He's an international guitar player who came home some 7 years ago.

I really appreciate the info! Thank you. Dublin was my mum's native town, would love to get down for a show. Will check out the website now :)
Just checked out the site and all I can say is: "Shame on me!" for not knowing about Ed and his music.
Both thumbs up...and an extra one for being a fellow leftie ;)

You'll enjoy! Fair play to you.

Nice music good job

Thanks yash0108. We go to Eds gigs as much as we can. He plays beautiful blues music. He's written some gorgeous stuff.

Aw. Thanks. Our friends young son put the video and his music together when we came back from the boat trip. It was just an impromptu moment on the lakes. thanks Amarvaran.

You got great taste in music. This guitarist is the best in Ireland at the moment. You should hear him play live. jigs3716
