Parisian Scenes - #26

Welcome to the courtyard of the Bristol hotel in Paris. This is where the super-rich people stay when they're visiting Paris, or if they're locals, this is one of the places they go to for their afternoon tea. Just for the taste of it - a room in this hotel costs somewhere between 850 and 1500 Euros a night (these are the official rates from the hotel's website, unfortunately I don't have enough money to tell you what the experience of staying there is actually like). For rainy days, they also have a tea lounge, of course.

So, if you're ever in that area, check out the Bristol hotel, very close to the famous Champs-Élysées. Although the hotel itself is very pricey, you can enter the lobby freely (provided a certain respectable dress code, nothing too fancy though, otherwise they wouldn't have let me in), and check out the public spaces. You can also go to this exact courtyard on a beautiful day, order a cup of tea and a dessert (again - quite costly, but worth it as a single touristy experience), and watch the rich people hanging out around you, minding their own.
