Today, one year ago - Hoy hace un año #2: Trip to Koh Samui and first night on the island - Viaje a Koh Samui y primera noche en la isla

Continuing our adventure of a year ago, today we will continue with the second day of travel. The island that did not say yesterday, you know what it is for the title of the post hahaha... is Koh Samui! So today I tell you how it was our trip to the island and our first night in it.

Continuando con nuestra aventura de hace un año, hoy seguiremos con el segundo día de viaje. La isla que ayer no conté, ya sabéis cual es por el título del post jajaja... es Koh Samui! Así que hoy os cuento como fue nuestro viaje hacia la isla y nuestra primera noche en ella.

In the morning, after sleeping a few hours, I did not rest much either because I had my ear put on the alarm clock, we had breakfast at the hotel and we returned to call a taxi to take us back to the airport. To go to Koh Samui, we had to take a flight, a bus that would take us to a port where we would take the boat that would take us to the island, all contracted with Air Asia, a company that is dedicated to making flights Interns for Asia and manages the exchanges and displacements between places, such as this one.

Por la mañana, después de dormir unas cuantas horas, que yo tampoco descansé mucho porque tenía el oído puesto en el despertador, desayunamos en el hotel y volvimos a llamar a un taxi para que nos llevara de nuevo al aeropuerto. Nos disponíamos a llegar a Koh Samui, para lo que teníamos que tomar un vuelo, un autobús que nos llevaría a un puerto donde cogeríamos el barco que nos llevaría a la isla, todo contratado con Air Asia, una compañía que se dedica a hacer vuelos internos por Asia y te gestiona los intercambios y desplazamientos entre los lugares, como por ejemplo este.

We caught the flight without any problem and I was taking photos from the plane, also a photo to an advertisement of Spain that was in the airplane that I found quite curious.

Tomamos el vuelo sin ningún problema y fui haciendo fotos desde el avión, también una foto a una publicidad de España que había en el avión que me resultó bastante curiosa.

After landing and picking up the luggage we took the bus that would take us to the port, it took about an hour and a half. We were talking about what we would do when we arrived and how well we will be in island :-)

Después de aterrizar y recoger las maletas tomamos el autobús que nos llevaría al puerto, tardamos más o menos una hora y media. Íbamos hablando de lo que haríamos al llegar y sobre lo bien que lo íbamos a pasar :-)

When we arrived to the port, we waited for the boat to set sail, something old and rusty but for what we wanted it was perfect, getting to Koh Samui.

Una vez en el puerto, esperamos a que zarpara el barco, algo viejo y oxidado pero para lo que lo queríamos era perfecto, llegar a Koh Samui.

On arrival to the island, we were waiting for a minibus that we moved to the hotel. Finally we arrived!!! We were already where we were going to be the next 5 days.

A la llegada a la isla, nos estaba esperando un minibús que nos desplazó hasta el hotel. ¡¡¡Por fin llegamos!!! Ya estábamos donde íbamos a pasar los siguientes 5 días.

Once in the room, we left our bags, went to the beach a bit and rented a motorbike for each couple, something essential to get around Koh Samui. The motorbike is the most used transport on the island and the most comfortable, so once we had the motorcycles we went for a walk and dinner.

Una vez en la habitación, dejamos las maletas, fuimos a la playa un poco y alquilamos una moto por cada pareja, algo imprescindible para moverse por Koh Samui. La moto es el medio de transporte más usado en la isla y el más cómodo, así que una vez que teníamos las motos nos fuimos a dar una vuelta y a cenar.

We caught the motorcycles and we moved to the north of the island, once there and in a very touristy area, to Bophut Fisherman's Village, Where we went for a walk and looking for a place to have dinner. We opted for dinner at the restaurant Yin Yang that is here.

Cogimos las motos y nos desplazamos al norte de la isla, una vez allí y en una zona muy turística, a Bophut Fisherman's Village por donde estuvimos dando un paseo y buscando un lugar para cenar. Nos decantamos por cenar en el restaurante Yin Yang.

The restaurant is spectacular, it is on the seafront and the truth is that compared to the prices in Spain, it was not expensive. In addition to a delicious dinner, we were able to enjoy a fire show. It was perfect.

El restaurante es espectacular, se come en la orilla del mar y la verdad es que comparado con los precios de España, no era caro. Un restaurante así en España hubiera costado 4 veces lo que nos costó allí. Además de una cena deliciosa, pudimos disfrutar de un espectáculo de fuego. Fue perfecto.

After this wonderful dinner, we strolled around the place, haggled a little at some street stall and went back to the hotel to sleep.

Después de esta maravillosa cena, nos dimos una vuelta por el lugar, regateamos un poco en algún puesto de la calle y volvimos al hotel para dormir.

The first night in Koh Samui, as you have seen, was unbeatable. Our trip had just begun !!! In the next post that I will publish tomorrow you will be able to see how our adventure follows.
