Exploring Kep - The little costal town in the south of Cambodia

When we´ve been to Cambodia in November 2013, we spent nearly a week in Phnom Penh. If you think Bangkok is crazy you have to experience Phnom Penh! It´s a very intense place in my memory. After spending a couple of days in the capital of Cambodia, we wanted to get to the greener, quieter and more secluded areas of Cambodia. The little costal town Kep seemed perfect for that!

We were staying in a very basic accommodation, that was run by a very nice French guy. He was renovating at the moment, so it was a bit loud at times but we got a pretty good deal for the room.

After we checked in, we rented the owners bike and took off to explore Kep! It was absolutely beautiful and so wild, but see for yourselves:

In the evening we ended up at the famous crab market of Kep. My girlfriend ordered a crab dish in a little restaurant at the water. The crabs we´re freshly catched and then prepared for her. I´m not into seafood at all but according to her those crabs were delicious.

Kep was so nice and quiet. There were very few tourists around and the nature was stunning. Sometimes I´m wondering how the place might have changed over the years.

Thank you for reading!

We only made to Cambodia for a visa run from Saigon ... it looks amazing though. How was the internet though? Also, I see you're a traveler, it would be cool to have you joining our Discord Traveller Group.

Well the Internet in Kep wasn´t fast but it was alright! In the bigger citys it was pretty descent.
All in I loved Cambodia! Stunning nature and very friendly locals..
