A few months ago my best friend and I embarked on a 3 month trip around North and South America
We started in Hawaii to California and then down into Mexico. Apart from the epic parties and meeting some amazing people we visited some breathtaking locations

We started off flying into Cancun and staying for one night, mistakenly choosing a hotel where none of the staff spoke a word of English and in the middle of the city were we felt quite unsafe. But not to worry, thats all part of travelling right?

The next Morning we ventured off to a little island called Isla Mejures, meaning "Island of Women” (so how could it not be good?) haha
Crystal clear waters and $1 cocktails we’d made it to paradise

This island is world famous for their whale shark migration where you can snorkel with these amazing creatures for around $200 US

Don't make the same mistake as we did and pick the right season to go as you can only snorkel with them during migration season!

A few hangovers and sunburns later we headed to our next destination – Playa Del Carmen
if you’re all about nature and not a fan of big crowds this place is not for you, though they do have some amazing Vegan restaurants and Epic street art!

There are many great activities near Playa Del Carmen including Adventure parks and Cenotes (Natural sinkholes). The adventure parks are lots of fun but they are around $100 and a lot of time spent waiting in lines. However the Cenotes are a must see and only a $2 bus ride away around $5 -$10 Entry

Mexico is world famous for the Cenotes, the first one we saw was Cenote Doj Ojos

Then Cenote Azul ~

we went early in the morning and there was almost no one there. Yet there was a lot of skin hungry fish!
All of these Cenotes are on the maps and most between Playa Del Carmen and Tulum

Thankyou for reading my post!

Stay Tuned for Part 2 - TULUM!

I especially love the cave. It's certainly a very therapeutic swim if not one that will be in your memories forever.
