Flores is quite non-tourist, compared to Bali's world-famous. It sees a small part of the number of tourists coming to Bali. This makes it a more interesting and sometimes challenging place to travel.

We can assure you of this: Komodo is the largest aquarium in your life and experience of a lifetime.

Komodo National Park in Flores is known as one of the best dive sites in the world. Even better known as the world-famous Komodo dragons. They are the largest lizards in the world, the perfect predators, they say.

Upon arrival at the Dragon Dive Hostel, you will find smiles all around.

The locals in Flores are good people. And curious at the same time. It's easy to get a million questions, so be prepared for a little chat.

You will also be invited to talk while walking down the street (if the locals can speak English). If not, you will get plenty of glances. Do not worry, it's completely normal! Tourism is relatively new here, the locals are still curious.

Also fair to say, the local people are still a bit shy and in the process of learning. Not too long, Labuan Bajo receives tourists.

Just a few months after the opening of the hostel, Dragon Dive Komodo was at the top of the game.

Breakfast is included in your stay.

This accommodation offers a European breakfast with bread, fruit, coffee, jam. They also added local donuts and even crêpes (with French recipes).

Bringing products to Flores is still not easy, because they must arrive to Jakarta, then Bali, and then transport by boat to the other islands around (including Flores). As you can imagine, it's not easy or cheap.

So, please, treat the food with respect and do not expect the same benefits as you get in Bali.

The sames apply to WiFi.

There is free and fast enough WiFi to watch videos on Youtube and upload your instagram photos to show your friends how beautiful Indonesia is. However, do not expect a fiber glass network to watch the latest Game of Thrones. After all, you are here to enjoy life and not TV.
