Sinclair Falls & Canyon, B.C. (Photos)

in #travel6 years ago (edited)

As our wedding approaches (tomorrow), we have been planning on laying low and not doing anything until then but we needed to, no had to get out of the house yesterday from being so anxious and the mold (ugh). So I found a hike that was just minutes down the road ( we are in Radium Hot Springs, B.C.) with a canyon and a waterfall that I had somehow missed in my other searches so we made our way there after driving through the town and seeing what shops and stores they had.

When were just .1 miles from where the map said it should be, there was a National Park gate where you had to have a pass to get through, but there was no one checking in the lane if you had a pass so we just went through anyways without one, I mean why should we pay to drive .1 miles to see natural beauty!? We then we confused and passed the parking spot but after a quick adjustment we made it and got out. We made the short hike down about 250 meters in height that was so much fun going back up haha. We then made it to the falls that could really only be seen by climbing out on the rocks in the rive, so we of course did that because I have to try and get the best shot possible.

We took some photo and video (coming out next) and just relaxed by the water, enjoying the cool breeze flowing down through the canyon and falls down onto us on the river, it was very relaxing. We then enjoyed a herbal medicine joint and enjoyed our surroundings a but longer. We then had the choice to leave or follow another trail, so we decided to follow the trail and continue the adventure. It was a brutal uphill that ended up taking us way above the falls (where you could't photograph it) and far from our truck. So after taking the amazing view of being up so high, we made out back down and up again the way we came and made our way out. It was a nice little hike and get away but with all the other beauty just a couple hours away, I would suggest finding another hike if you are ever in the area.
