The Struggle of Wanting to Travel but CAN'T

Foreword: I love travelling, but I couldn't travel a lot.

It's one of my most favorite yet least executed hobbies in life. Whether it's just a walking trip to a nearby park, an hour drive to a gallery, or a planned 3-day vacation to wherever. I love it.
It's a complete delight starting from the planning and preparations, up to the moment we get back to our homes.

Of course, we get exhausted both physically, mentally, and financially but that's not the point.
The point is that travelling gives you the chance to rejuvenate, learn, and just have fun out of your comfort zone. It allows you to experience more and eventually, become more.

That photo above was taken in Agusan del Norte located in the region of Mindanao. I was about to go back to the car when I took one last photo, not knowing it would look like this.

It's amazing how nature can still surprise us, isn't it?

Anyways, spring (or summer here in the Philippines) is getting closer and my wanderlust instincts are kicking in. It's been a long time since a travel plan was drawn up and we actually get on with it.

That's part of the struggle: once you formed a plan, you have to proceed with the plan. Not as easy as it sounds when you and your travel buddies have other priorities, and you can't travel alone. Worse, you don't have enough time and/or money to do it.

It gets delayed, postponed, then forgotten in a list called "Probably Next Time".

We have to remember though, that the "Probably Next Time" list should be our motivation. Yes, you didn't get what you want today, but that's no reason to just give up. Back up and start again. The beach is not going anywhere, we could take our time and travel whenever we want.
