Playa Del Carmen
Since I first heard of the areas on the Eastcoast of Mexico called the Yucatán Peninsula or The Mayan Riviera, I have been called to visit. Since I always listen to the pull of my heart, it has lead me to another place that will now be another home to come to . Playa Del Carmen feels like a place I can really spend some quality time.
Much cleaner streets and easy to find trash receptacles.
The locals drive fast. Lots of the houses and buildings are painted beautiful bright colors.
Warm inviting waters. Which is important to me since I don’t have a lot of body fat. I’ve always found the Atlantic waters to be warmer than Pacific. Walking along the beach line, your are literally a foot away from the water.
Beach cabanas of course
It’s a place that’s easy to get around walking and on bike.
Oh yes, had to visit the Chocolate Cafe
Off the main path,it looked like my kind of place.
The servers were friendly the music was upbeat and the tacos were tasty😋
Healthy options are easy to find. My Airbnb hosts gave me a list of several places that were in walking distance.
All the trendy shops you could ask for
It was sweet to see just a little rain. The town had a quick morning shower on Thursday that washed away the dirt of the week.
I am also happy to say as promised the Wi-Fi was working within a couple of hours like they promised.
I got a massage from a very nice woman name Angelina at Magic Moments off the main strip. It was much needed after the bad mattress in Mexico City and lots of walking. It was a combination of Thai and Therapeutic.
I totally enjoyed my time here and looking forward to returning with my sweetie and staying longer.
The journey continues...On a bright beautiful Sunday afternoon, I depart on the ADO bus to Tulum, City of the Moon🌝
Til Later..Much Love💗
