The only remaining building is the lighttower, originaly built in 1850 because over the centuries, many ships got stranded and ended up becoming part of the historical landmarks. Rumor has it that Bill Gates intended to buy the island as his private getaway resort but the people of Curacao would not even consider selling this natural beauty.
