Travel time to one of my dream Destination - IRAN

in #travel7 years ago (edited)

It's Holiday time.........I am so so excited and looking forward to my next 2 weeks ahead.
At the airport and ready to hop on the flight to Iran.....

Iran has been one of my long awaited destination and now is the time finally. This destination is important for me as it takes me back to my roots. I am a Zoroastrian by religion and the roots of my religion emerge from this country, though our forefathers left this place centuries ago to save the Religion from Islamic dominance.

My 15 Day tour covers the Mount Damavand, The city of Lahijan, Caspian Sea coast, Takab, Kandovan volcanic village, Tabriz, Persepolis, Shiraz, Yazd, Teheran and a lot more. Its gonna be a little hectic but I am sure I am going to enjoy every bit of it. I have been reading about the beauty of these places and now I am going to see them in real, it's so exciting.
Moreover it's been a crazy month and I desperately need a break to unwind and come back with freshness and rigor.

I am looking forward to having some local food, meeting up new people, knowing new culture and a heart touch with my roots.

The other excitement for me today is getting to see the new Muscat Airport. Our Old Airport was quite outdated and a very small one. The new Airport have been a lot in the news and considered to be an Architecture Marvel so I was eager to take a look at it. Though a lot of finishing touches are going on but yes compared to what we had this one is far superior and highly equipped with modern technology. It has a mix of the modern appearance with the mix of traditional architecture with an approach to preserve Oman's cultural heritage. I am having a pleasant experience of the new airport relaxing at the lounge. The lighting has been done very well and there are Palm tress all over which gives a good and pleasing effect.

I am not sure if I will be able to make any post on Iran during my trip, but once I am back I am surely going to share a lot of photographs and information on the place.

In the next two weeks, I will be slow in my comments and follow ups, hence please excuse me if I am unable to comment on blogs.

I'm very curious about this trip. Always wondered what it is really like behind. With your religious history, and maybe other factors, I can see why you are stoked. Would really love to hear more about your experience, and see pictures when you return.

Where are you from?

P. S: I préfer to learn this way.... Sticks permanently, when I can put a name or face to what I learnt. What is Zoroastrian?

Thats very true, when you visit a place you get to know in and out of it and also get to see the real side of it.
I am from India @solcross.
Zoroastrian is a very small religion our total population is around 1.5 Lakhs across the globe, and our religion emerges from Iran, there are a lot of people in Iran who still follow the religion, during the time of invasion our forefathers left the country to save the religion. The religion came into existence in around 6th century and considered to be one of the oldest

Thanks for this. I find it interesting. Really appreciated.

Lovely pictures and beautiful place @nainaztengra

Are there no more wars in Iran?
@nainaztengra, Safe journey dear.

A lot of these news are falsely put up by Media @topfreeser, as of now there is no danger in visiting the place. Its a very beautiful country.

That's good to hear. Have fun then and happy weekend.

Zoroastrian.. My very first time to hear of that religion... See thats one pf the best things about steemit. We come to learn about new thing and information that we did not even know of or think of knowing. Best kind of school acquiring information if u ask me.

Enjoy ur trip to iran. Looking forward to reading what you will be upto.

As for me, off i go (right now) to google and learn more about your religion. Knowledge is true power.

Thank you @purpletanzanite. Yes the best part of steemit is it brings people and hearts together

There was a large Iranian community in Vancouver and they were extremely hospitable. I can't wait to read your posts about Iran.

Thanx @loveself, as per my experience also they come out to be very hospitable people. Its a nice place

Wow... I've never come across a Zoroastrian before, I like you instantly already. Have a terrific stay
