in #travel7 years ago

Manu-National-Park is located in the rain forest area at the foot of the Andes in eastern Peru. It covers an area of 1.5 million hectares. It has different flora at different altitudes, with low-level Amazon rainforests and tropical mountains. Fog forests and grasslands. There are more than 1,000 species of birds in the park, accounting for 15% of all birds in the world. At least 13 species of birds are known worldwide as endangered animals; over 200 species of mammals have been identified, with 13 species of monkeys and 100 species of bats. It also includes giant wild animals such as black caiman, giant otter and tiger cat, and jaguar. In addition, there are a wide variety of fish, amphibians, and invertebrates; it is estimated that there are at least 500,000 species of arthropods in the park, which is a typical South American diversity wildlife world. In 1987, the park was included in the World. Natural Heritage Directory.

Compared to the Huascaran Plateau, Chinese tourists traveling to Manu will have more, but it is also rare to really explore the depths of Manu. When we entered the park at the entrance of the Manu National Park, 10 of our group entered the park. Although it was already in early October, we visited the entire visiting roster. Before that, only 4 Chinese registered in 2017 and they were still in the process. Young people studying in the United States, and most of the tour groups that visited Manu toured closely around the Manu Cultural District on the edge of the Manu National Park. They did not enter the protected area at all. The species of plants and animals seen was also greatly reduced.
