THE LIFE OF A VEGETARIAN IN TURKEY

Welcome back guys here is your Andrea writing to you, these days I'm puzzling about that argoneti treat in the blog, for sure I want to bring you to know how a vegetarian like me can survive abroad hahaha

In short, Turkish cuisine is not just kebab, with globalization in Istanbul there are more than 85 restaurants serving veggie-friendly dishes.

It's not easy but not impossible all the states have traditional vegetarian options or dishes today I'll list 5 dishes that you should definitely try if you went to Turkey

1. Pilav
   This is the rice you will see almost anywhere. It is usually cooked with onions and butter, so even in this case there are no big problems regarding the ingredients: they are all perfectly vegetarian
   

1. Cig Kofte
   These are balls of wheat, spices and tomato paste. They are very spicy and you will usually see them served inside a thin sheet of bread, with salad and other fresh vegetables. Once they were preparing meat, but today they are completely vegetarian, even vegan.

At the beginning they may seem strange to you, but trust me they will conquer you after a while.

1. Sarma
   They are very particular and strange taste, I doubted a lot but I changed my mind of base are the vine leaf rolls, with the same filling inside. These are always vegetarian and can be consumed without problems.
   

2. Menemen
   The menemen is a traditional Turkish dish consisting of eggs, onion, tomato, green peppers and, on request, cheese. The menemen is generally served for breakfast, accompanied with bread to dip.

   Börek is a stuffed puff, also usually eaten for breakfast, or for lunch, as it can be wrapped and eaten cold as a snack. The most common fillings are potatoes, cheese and spinach.
