Old Town Of Galle
Galle is a costal SriLankan town with a port that was a business hub for East and West long before the arrival of the Portugese.
We took a train to get there. This was definitely the most crowded ride I've ever experienced. Some passengers were holding on to the beams by the door and sticking out through the door hole completely. If you want to know why I don't have any photos for you - we were so packed I couldn't move.
The Galle fort is a world heritage site and is the largest remaining fortress in Asia built by European occupiers.
It's surrouded by a thick wall. Do you like the view?
Narrow streets with tuk-tuks everywhere. Although this one was cleaner than the average.
Afer the Portugese, the Dutch took over and majorly developed the Galle fort. This is one of the churches from those days.
Not surprisingly - the Galle history museum is full of Delftware.
Another example of the colonial architecture.
But Galle is much more than just that. It's a mix of different cultures and religions.
Enjoy the last days of this year!
Galle is a town of colour, texture and sensation totally unlike anywhere else in Sri Lanka

You're right. It's visible from the wall, too.
