Park of topiaries in Durbuy (Belgium) - The smallest city in the world - Part 2
Hi Steemians!! This is the second part of my blog about the park of topiaries at Durbuy. Like I said previously "topiary art consists in carving trees and garden shrubs for decorative purposes to form hedges, massifs or subjects of very varied shapes, geometric, characters, animals..." [wiki]
By the number of comments received, I was glad to see that I was able to discover this art to many people. Here are the latest pictures.
Enjoy!
A splendid elephant!
Do you recognize him? This is the manneken piss.
cubic art
Here is one of the oldest creation of the park, boxwood a few hundred years
Horses with jockeys are in if. A kind of firs that can also be cut
This guy is waiting for something ;)
Along this path, behind each boxwood is a medicinal plant.
The wild boar is the symbol of the province of Luxembourg
Goodbye Steemians!!
Bookmarked this post, I will watch them again and again. These are really the rare pieces of art which took hard work of many hours to finish it.
