@polebird: ❤️ A retreat in Costa Rica with @karensuestudios - Part 1 ❤️
Today’s travel post takes us back to my trip to Costa Rica that was such an adventure. I met my sister @karensuestudios in San Jose for an Acroyoga retreat she invited me to. This was actually the first and only retreat I have ever signed up for and attended. The journey from San Jose to our boutique hotel Casa Marbella located near Santa Teresa Beach was a long one! We took a shuttle with the other acroyogis, had to wait for a ferry, and rode some more on the bus until we reached our destination.
The hotel we stayed at was beautiful! There was small infinity pool and hot tub with views overlooking the trees, and beyond that the sea.
@karensuestudios and I were welcomed with these coconuts!
The yoga studio took my breath away! It was incredible to have such a scenic area to practice yoga. During one of the early morning sessions, there were even howler monkey families playing in the trees right next to the studio.
We spent about a week in this amazing place, exploring, relaxing, and playing with acro yogis.
Such a memorable sister's trip! Here we tried to spell "sisters" with the found pebbles of the beach. Can you read it? haha
Stay tuned for more about my Costa Rica trip - up next I will be writing about the acroyoga and aerial arts of the retreat. Thanks for reading!

Is this place worth to see on vacation? :D
It's a beautiful area! Depends how long you have in costa rica and what other parts you want to see, I feel like travel time all together when we got there took another day to get there.. and we were there in that area because that is where our particular retreat is held. I did enjoy my time, but didn't get to see a lot of other areas of the country
photography is so beautiful! I like it very much
Thank you!
Must have been expensive no? Did you guys have to pay for the food or was it included? How far away was that hotel from the airport? Did you guys feel safe over there? never been to costa rica, don't know how safe it is :)
hehe it was a bit, but over all the hotel + retreat portion was included in a package as was breakfast every morning. The hotel took us almost 7 or 8 hours to get there. Felt safe, but we travelled mostly as a yogi group, there was only one time I had to cab by myself.
This looks great! Amazing photos.
Thanks so much!
