Getting Spicy with Laos
I don't recommend you try this unless your body has a committed and functionable relationship with capsaicin.
Spicy foods have always been part of my culture.
Hey Son, that porridge looks a bit boring, here put some chili peppers in it. - Mom
When I spent some time in Vientiane, I had to find ways to satisfy my girlfriend. Her taste buds are really picky. Everything has to be spicy.
We found a mall with this awesome restaurant that could not be ignored. I'm sure if you saw this sign, as a spice fanatic, this challenge could not be ignored.
We took a seat with our ego set high. The food came out and it was incredibly delicious. It went down pretty hunky dory until I started sweating profusely. My sweat glands are reacting to the stress of devouring something so beautiful. My entire mouth went numb. Yikes. I've had spicy, and the standard level of spice in Laos sets the bar quite high.
Get the platter because it'll come with spice chasers that could help you subdue the numbness that may be taking away from your eating experience.
Something very interesting that I haven't had before is this. 🔻🔻🔻
These popping glass noodles were very interesting to eat! My stomach was so warm after eating so much spicy delights. I finished my meal like I just finished cardio day. My shirt was completely drenched in sweat.
Sweat induced by spice is negativity leaving your body!
Have a sweaty spicy day!!
Yummy! Try this with a Imperial Stout. You won't regret it.
Oh, the burning sensation combined with a beer makes me wish it was beer o'clock already!
