La Isla Estupida

I spent some time on La Palma in the Canary Islands a few years ago, and was told that it is the steepest island in the world. Some people argue this point but there is some justification for the claim. It's a beautiful place, someone claimed that the song la isla bonita was inspired by it, but i don't think that one is true... I renamed the place la isla estupida because you can't go anywhere without climbing a few cliffs as there's always a mountain or 2 blocking your path... anyway...thought i'd share a few photos... had some crazy adventures getting there, and a few interesting trips around the island, but I'll save the story for another time... no luxury hotel by the beach on this one, spent most of the time living in a cave in a cliff looking down on the sea... never been a big fan of black volcanic sand so not many beach pics, just lots of mountains...

so, stupidly steep, but awesome place... well worth a visit if you're wondering where to go on your next travels...
