Good Morning Vietnam! | Ramengirl🍜
Good Morning Vietnam!
Hey guys! Finaaaaally I came to Vietnam!! My first destination in Vietnam is Ho Chi Minh city. I actually didn't expect how much I'm going to like Ho Chi Minh. Everything is better than my expectation, the food, people, environment, etc. Everywhere was so clean and so many trees and parks than Busan. As I imagined there were lots of bikes and traffic, but people always went away every time I crossed the road. So it didn't feel dangerous at all.
I stayed at 'Aya's homestay' that I booked on Airbnb. Great location, clean, and they had a comfortable bed. There was a staff who stayed 24/7. She was a middle age woman and couldn't speak any English. So I tried to use google translate to speak in Vietnamese every morning/night to her. It was such an exotic experience, and I learned a few words from her as well. She was so kind, helpful, always smiling, such a wonderful host!
I stayed at near Ben Thanh market and there were so many Korean banks there. I found Shinhan bank which my main bank, so I could've done some small work there!
I needed to buy a couple of things so I went shopping. There were lots of malls and department stores in Ho Chi Minh. I found this Takashimaya department store which is a Japanese department store, and had some sushi :)
I also went to the Cu Chi tunnels. On the way to Cu Chi tunnels, we stopped this resting place. They had lots of artworks and the best coffee.
It was so interesting listening about the story of the war from the Vietnamese side. You can finish the tour in 3-4 hours and it was really fun so I recommend you to check this place! Thanks :)
Good post @ramengirl
Oh that table with the mirror reminds me of our stay in Kraków!!!
I’m curious how Takashimaya is in Vietnam, I used to shop for bread and dumplings there when I stayed in Yokohama :)
I know! Right?! They had Japanese supermarket, and a lot of Japanese restaurant :) I use to go Takashimaya in Shinjuku a lot!! hehe Anmitsu Imissyou!!
