LAGUNA DE PACA PERU
This lagoon is in the districts of Paca, Chunan and Pancan to 2.5Km to the North of the city of Jauja in the coordinates lat 11º 4402 S, Log 75º 3051 W. It is to 3,418 m.s.n.m.
The Laguna de Paca is a lake located in the central Sierra of Peru located in the Province of Jauja in the Junín Region, has an area of 21.40 km2 and has a capacity of 85.50 thousand m3.
Its huge mirror of water has hotels and restaurants located at the southern end of the lagoon, during the weekends fill lots of tourists to enjoy its landscape, stroll through its waters and enjoy the delicious lunch. To the South West of the lagoon is the archaeological center of Pueblo Viejo. In the center of the lake there is an island of totora which the inhabitants call "The Island of Love" during the day moves from extreme south to north (in the morning) and from north to south (in the afternoon), Mentions that he is visiting the town of Paca at the northern end of the lagoon
