There are 95% Buddhist temples in Thailand, there are certainly hundreds of Bangkok
temples - known in Thai "wats."Some of the smaller, very small "seas" or side streets and are good in terms of tourist traffic. A large number of others filled with halls, schools and sculpture statues, have a
place in all the guides about Bangkok.

Here are the top seven Bangkok temples, compiled a list based on both historical
significance and pure aesthetics.

1. Wat Arun

You know that a temple in Bangkok, especially if its image is on the Thai currency, in this
case 10-Baht coin. Among the most respected icons in Bangkok, Wat Arun --- The Temple of
the Chaw Faw is located on the west bank of the river.
Beginning with King Rama II (1809-1824) and full of King Rama III (1824-1851), the creation
of the stunning "pharaohanga" (tower), which is covered in small pieces of colorful Chinese
ceramic.

2. Wat Phra Kaew

Famous with legendary Watfra Kai's house, the legendary grand palace base. Waterfra Kai -
Temple of Emerald Buddha - one of the most respected Buddha statues in Thailand, which
was created in a single block of Z.
This Buddha figure is clearly traveled. According to the official palace website of Thailand, it
was first discovered in Chiang Rai in 1464, it came down to Lampang where it stayed to
Tilak, the capital of Lanai Maya, and then it was brought to Lang Prabhanga, Laos before
going to Vientiane

the city of Bangkok with the rural palace, Imperial Buddha was installed in Chapel, where it

On the right side of the grand palace, Wat Phoe is the largest Buddhist Buddha statue in
Thailand. The 46-meter-long statue contains 108 perfect signs of Buddha with a mother's
pearl, but the image itself is covered in gold leaf.
According to the History of Thailand, after the Grand Palace, King Ram, I accepted the
ancient temple as a place of religious importance and ordered the reconstruction of its
successors in 1788. This was the first seven years, five months and 28 days in rebuilding.
During the reign of Rama III, another great reconstruction / expansion took place during the
reign of 16 years and seven months.

Also known in English as "Marble Temple", the beautiful Benchambutitra is a royal
monastery honored as the superiority of a Thai architecture. Its main combination is the
Italian marble made with and features European neo-classical effects.
Located in the green green Duaet district of Bangkok, near the Chitralala palace, it was
founded by Raja Ram Bhandar on 1st September. His shelter is buried under the
coordination under a Shōkhta-style Buddha statue. If you think it is known to you, then its
picture is in Thailand's five-barred currencies.

5. Wat Mahathat Yuwaratrangsarit

Wat Mahathat Yuwaratrangsarit can not be one of the most beautiful Bangkok temples,
but it is certainly the most important religious one.
It was built in the era of sixteen royal wits. When the bank became the capital, it was used
as a temple for the royal ceremony due to the newly built Grand Palace.
Today it is the Mahakhulalanganjavadialaya University - which was established in 1887, it is
the oldest higher education organization of Buddhist monks in Thailand and it forms the
Vipassana Meditation headquarters. Visitors can drop for classes by

6. Wat Saket

Wat Saket attracts visitors on the basis of those other temples of Bangkok Temple itself
rather than its unique city. The main draw in this case is the "Golden Mount," topped with a
