Greetings From Croatia!!!

Hey guys! I'm so impressed by you all! All of your comments and advice which you wrote me below, made me so happy and inspired me to write and share more with you. Let me remind me you why I'm here. I just want to inspire, give some motivation, share some valuable information, and express myself by writing in this platform.

The Road Trip!

<3 Crikvenice!

For a while I wasn't here. I had an 8 day holiday in Croatia. I couldn't wait to share my experiences with you which I had in all those trip days. On the way to Croatia, I had a chance to visit 5 countries: Poland, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Italy and Austria. I promise, I will tell you more about all those countries in the next post. But firstly, let me introduce you to amazing Croatia.

I went to the Crikvenice area. The first thing which impressed me was the rocky Crikvenica town beach, in which you could find a water park, beach bar, water sport and much more. If you would decide to walk by the coastline, you would be really surprised how many things you could find in this small area. Like various shops, some restaurants or cafes, museums, and of course, the port with luxury yachts. Also, you can find lots of hotels and hostels. I stayed in "Pavillions Ad Turres". It's surrounded by amazing Mediterranean plant wood. After a 300-400m walk you will reach the gorgeous Adrian Sea. The Hotel area has 12 pavilions.

Plitvice Lakes National Park

Entering Plitvice!

If you are thinking about visiting Croatia, you can't miss the chance to visit The Plitvice Lakes National Park. This park lies in the mountainous region of Croatia between the Mala Kapela and the Lička Pljšivica muontain range. The park is an official UNESCO World Heritage site. There is the lake system which consists of 16 lakes of various sizes, as well as numerous waterfalls. There are 8 different tour programmes. You can choose by the duration and trail length. Programmes include all kind of exciting leisure activities such as electric boats, panoramic train ride or walking. The thing that impressed me most in this park, was the biggest waterfall at the end of the path. We could enjoy this waterfall stream. Its was incredible.

Interesting facts about Croatia:

Chasing Waterfalls!
  • Zlatnirat beach changes in shape and color depending on the wind.

  • Dubrovnik was known as “Game of Thrones” King’s Landing and Star Wars filming location.

  • The dog breed Dalmatian can be traced back to Croatia and the Dalmatia region.

  • Croatians invented the tie. During the Thirty Years’ War in the 17th century, the traditional small, knotted neckerchiefs worn by Croatian mercenaries aroused the interest of Parisians who for some reason immediately took to the new fashion accessory.

  • The most popular Croatians include: Nikola Tesla, Slavoljub Penkala, Ivan Vučet, Luka Modrić.

  • The smallest city in Istria is Hum. Hum is also the smallest city in the world.

  • Croatia has 1246 islands.

  • Croatia is home of the world's biggest truffle.

  • Croatian Slavoljub Penkala invented the mechanical pencil(pen) .

My experience and observations about Croatia:

    • Travels help you forget about your comfort zone. If you want to get a new experience, or have unforgettable adventures, you must to sacrifice your fear. I had a big fear for heights. All the time we moved through narrow and high mountain roads.

    • Every human, building, city, plan are beautiful and impressive in their own way. It depends on the person, how they are understanding the beauty and what makes them impressed. Many humans have many different outlooks.

    • I saw many historical places, buildings, heard many stories about the past and realized that one day the future generation will be talking about/interested in our current world. They will look in a istorijos atkarta like we are now. They will move to the museums, try to understand our culture, be interested in our century's inventors... We are a part of history. Sometimes its just hard to understand it.

    • It's pretty hard to maintain a healthy lifestyle when you are traveling. In petrol shop markets you can find plenty of junky food, candies, rolls and other sweets. But in the markets you would find much more fresh and healthy snacks. If you want to travel and see the world, you must to be healthy.

    • I really like one of the travel miracles. Travels makes people closer. It makes couples closer, strangers into friends, friends into the best friends. It makes stronger spousal relationships.

    • Trips are things in which it's worthy to invest your money and time. You're getting more experience. It makes you stronger physically and mentally. It's a perfect way to know yourself better. It changes your outlook about the world, and lets you meet new people. You can't buy those things anywhere. Of course, you can pay for a trip and during the trip, you will get those things. This is a true thing which makes your soul richer.

    • All of us just divide the country borders(walls). You can take all Europe by one hand. Before this travel, to be on the road for 3 hours seemed like a really long time. Now even 12 hours on the road seems like nothing. This is how travel can change our outlook about time perception.

    • Locals who are emigrates of Croatia have a really nice tradition. It started in the Zagreb train station, where locals, before leaving their home country, just left their shoes. They just wanted to show that they were forced to leave Croatia because couldn't survive in the country. It's seems this tradition is still alive nowadays. I saw with my own eyes 2 pairs of shoes left in the bus stop in the place I stayed.

I just want to say thanks for all you guys who commented on my introduction post. I can't wait for your new comments, advice or just your opinion next time!
