๐ŸŒ Steemit World Map Challenge #23 ๐ŸŒ

in #travel โ€ข 6 years ago (edited)

Greetings travelers!

Welcome to the 23rd week of the #swmchallenge where we travel around the globe and try to bring up to light the most unique and special places or events worth visiting or putting on your travel bucket list. Each week here is filled with posts full of captivating scenery, stunning images and great stories. Basically, great travel blogs worth checking out. So If you like to travel (digitally or in real life) #swmchallenge is the place to go.

For those who still don't know about SteemitWorldMap

It's a fun tool made by @blueorgy and @martibis that allows you to pin your posts to a specific location or browse the world map where ideally every place on the map is a Steemit post. #swmchallenge is my attempt to make it more popular and build a community around it.

Travel blogs of the week

#1 One Day in Datong Old City Part 1

We join @rayshiuimages on two part tour of Datong, the 2nd largest city of the Shanxi province in China. Full of ancient architecture and historical landmarks, this city is truly a sight to behold. If you are a fan of traditional Chinese architecture but can fly only on the web, be sure to check @rayshiuimages post on Datong, and don't miss out on the part 2.

#2 Cyprus: historical Paphos

@stranniksenya opens up a time portal and takes us to the 3rd c. BC where we take a walk through Paphos, an ancient Greek and Roman City in the southwest of Cyprus. Home of countless, well preserved mosaics, villas and ancient remains, this place definitely deserves to be on the bucket list of any serious traveler.

#3 Sohoton National Park: Nature's marvel

@julietravel takes us on a tour through Sohoton National Park in Philippines which is a true gem as she describes it. After digitally exploring the greenery, stunning landscapes and caves of Shoton her post really made me quit everything and finally pursue my dream to travel the world. Then I realized I got no job to quit or money to spend.... And no, cashing out my steem is out of question, that's my retirement fund, so I'll need another way to fund my dreams. Hmmmm... Untill I find it I'll just fly around the SteemitWorldMap.

Have to check if I have that quality, but looking forward to following it and travel the world this way, too.
