This could be Heaven on Earth! Como Lake Italian Alps PART #1
This will be our 2nd week spent in the serene magnificent surroundings of Como Lake, Italy. For whoever is not familiar with the area, Como Lake is set in Northern Italy, Lombardy region at the foothills of the Alps.
The area is known for its dramatic scenery as well as for its upscale resorts and has been named in 2014 as the most beautiful lake in the world by Huffington Post for its microclimate and famous villas. The lago area has attracted aristocrats since Roman times and it presents many cultural and artistic attractions for its many tourists from across the world every year.
From our driving through the Italian Alps to Como Lake:

So serene, right?
The view was worth it!
We stayed on that peaceful terrace and rejoiced fully in the breath taking view and scenery for it was such a spectacular one!
Next we headed to Valsolda which is a little gem village next to the Swiss Italian border. We found the most romantic stay with a prime view to the lake and here is where I leave you with some stunning views:

I love Lake Como. the shops, the cafes, and the river trips to the three main cities on the lake.

Be careful on the roads, it is very narrow. There are two ways to get there and the longer one is actually faster and safer, hard to remember the name of the road right now, but locals can tell you.
Oh, I know exactly which one you mean! We took the safer one on the way back :)! Some of the drivers really feel entitled and dont pay as much attention as they should 😁 We got back in safe, thank you. Today we are experiencing a heat wave so we will go to explore the villas, so more indoors. Unfortunately everything closes at 6pm here so there's no way to see all of these at evening times. Too bad, the heat is massive up until 8pm, doesn't make any sense goverment hasnt adjusted their opening times. But there you go, ran inefficiently. Wish you a blessed great day ahead 😇🇮🇹🙏🏻
